The Box is a major cultural and heritage attraction and archive, which opened in Plymouth’s city centre in September 2020. Its collection, formally the South West Film and Television Archive (SWFTA), is the regional film archive for the South West of England, comprising the combined programme libraries of Westward Television and Television South West (TSW). It also includes a significant number of donated film collections dating back to the early 1890s.

Highlights of a local derby Third Division match between Plymouth Argyle FC and Exeter City FC played on 7 April 1980. Plymouth Argyle forward John Sims scores two goals against his old team Exeter City with the final score being 2-0.
John Sims began his career with Derby County and went on loan to several clubs before being sold to Exeter City in 1978 costing Exeter’s new manager Bobby Saxton Ј12,000. In 1979 Sims signed for Plymouth Argyle where Saxton was the new manager, the club paying Ј22,500. Sims was voted player of the season in 1982. Overall Sims made 183 appearances and scored 48 goals but left Plymouth Argyle in 1983 to join Torquay United. In February 1984, Sims was sent on loan to Exeter City returning to Torquay in November of that year as player-coach. He joined non-league Saltash United. He was later player-manager of non-league Waldon Athletic and ran a pub in Torquay.
