A big house, a loving husband and two healthy children. What more could housewife Sylvia Russell want? Plenty - if she feels her ambitions stifled by the leafy respectability of south London. Sonia Dresdel gives a compelling portrayal of evil as the scheming housewife, ably assisted by the artful camerawork of Günther Krampf.
American director Tim Whelan was brought over to Britain to shoot this stage adaptation, penned by Joan Morgan, daughter of British film pioneer Sydney.
