Overview
Christopher Nolan’s moody low-budget feature debut, shot on contrasty black-and-white 16mm film, is a superbly gritty neo-noir about an unemployed young writer who follows strangers through London in the pursuit of inspiration for his first novel. But his hobby takes a dark turn when he is drawn into a criminal underworld lead by a charismatic thief.
