        Overview

Filmed by Arthur Booth, one time organist of La Scala Cinema in Ilkeston, this reel of 9.5mm home movie takes us from a sunny seaside tour of Hastings (including a lively keep fit session) via a brief stopover in Nottingham and views of London decorated to mark the George VI Coronation of 1937. The highlight is the massed array of marching bands that make up the Ilkeston Carnival of 1937, led by a particularly regal looking carnival queen complete with robes, crown and throne.
