The Box is a major cultural and heritage attraction and archive, which opened in Plymouthβs city centre in September 2020. Its collection, formally the South West Film and Television Archive (SWFTA), is the regional film archive for the South West of England, comprising the combined programme libraries of Westward Television and Television South West (TSW). It also includes a significant number of donated film collections dating back to the early 1890s.

Overview
A British Boy and Girl Scoutsβ event has been held at Lordβs Meadow in Crediton. TV reporter Gerald Haycock joins the festivities and tries some of the food cooked by the Anchorsholme Air Scout Group. In attendance are many scout groups from all-around the world including Sweden, Australia, America, China and Taiwan. The 15th World Scout Jamboree was set to be held in Nisapur, Iran in 1979 but was cancelled because of the Iranian Revolution.
In 1907 Robert Baden-Powell held a camp for boys at Brownsea Island in Dorset to trial his idea for creating a boysβ scouting group. After Baden-Powellβs Scouting for Boys was published in 1908 the first boy scout patrols were created. Robertβs sister Agnes Baden-Powell created the Girl Guidesβ Association in 1910. Rosebuds was created in 1914 for under elevens and it was renamed Brownies in 1915. The first World Scout Jamboree was organised by the Boy Scoutsβ Association in 1920 and held at Olympia Exhibition Centre in London.
