American troops march through London and salute King George V in this late-WWI newsreel item

        Non-Fiction 1918 1 mins Silent

        Overview

Topical Budget newsreel cameras were on hand to capture this parade of American servicemen through central London to the Victoria Memorial outside Buckingham Palace, where they salute King George V. Also in attendance were Queen Mary, Queen Alexandra, the Duke of Connaught, Princess Beatrice, General Biddle of the US Army and Lt Col Sir Francis Lloyd.

For more scenes of the preceding parade, see What the King and London Saw, also available on BFI Player.
